Small regional breweries (South Bohemian Region).

Brewing in the Czech Republic has a very long tradition and the Czech Republic rightly ranks among the world's most respected beer producers. In recent years, also due to the posi-tive economic situation and developed tourism, the popularity and the development of small craft breweries has been dynamically growing. Therefore, microbrewery is one of the most developing industries in the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis focuses on small breweries in the South Bohemia, on their production and forms of distribution. The questionnaire survey in the practical part of this thesis focuses on obtaining basic information from the owners and head brewers about the management and production of breweries. Small breweries in the South Bohemia are presented individually. The second questionnaire survey focuses on the consumer's view and opinions regarding the production of small regional breweries, also in connection with tourism.

Thesis is dedicated to quantifying and evaluating the intensity of international beer trade among member states of the European Union. Some international trade intensity indices were selected in order to meet this purpose. First of them being the RCA index, which serves as a tool for revealing and assessing the level of comparative advantages in member states of the EU. The subsequent procedure was aimed to express in numbers and words with help of G-L index the degree of intra-industry trade, which European beer industry reaches. Obtained results suggest notable differences in the levels of countries comparative advantages and also the existence of relatively high degree of intra-industry beer trade. Such outcome results in identification and evaluation of certain business opportunities in the area of intra-EU beer trade.
Changes of the brewing industry in the Czech republic after 1989

This bachelor thesis describes changes in the brewing industry after the political changes in 1989. The first part of the thesis describes the history of brewing in our territory. A crucial part of this thesis is focused on the changes and development after the 1989 and aims at the state breweries, national breweries, and microbreweries. Next part of the thesis describes changes attached to breweries after the European Union admission. Part of the thesis is also a practical experiment from the field of nutrition and fertilization of barley and their impact on the yield and quality of grain determined for malting purposes. The final part of the thesis is devoted to raw materials needed for the production of beer and consumption of beer in the Czech Republic.
Factors of localization of brewing industry

This thesis is focused on definition of basic factors of localization of brewing industry in Czech Republic. Traditionally, beer is the part of Czech culture. The aim of this thesis is to identify main factors of localization, to analyze them and to evaluate their influence on spatial distribution of brewing industry in Czech Republic. Thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is focused on summary of basic theoretical knowledge of localization. The second part summarizes important facts about beer including history, production process and basic statistics of food and beverage and brewing industry. The third part analyzes spatial distribution of brewing industry in Czech Republic. The fourth part is focused on analysis and evaluation of the importance of factors of localization. In the end of thesis are summarized the results.
The position of brewing industry in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the brewing industry in the Czech Republic and to consider the latest trends in the brewing industry at present. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter characterises the position of the brewing industry in the national economy of the Czech Republic. The most important section of the thesis is the second chapter, which analyzes the production of beer and the structure of the branch in the Czech Republic. Export of Czech beer abroad is described in the third chapter. The fourth chapter of this thesis considers the production of beer in the world and the position of the Czech Republic in the world production and export of beer. The fifth chapter deals with the comparison of the consumption of beer and wine, which is currently the biggest competitor of beer in the market.
